NSW: Talks between textile union and creditor to resume today

Talks between sacked Hunter Valley textile workers and creditors will resume this morning
after negotiations on securing workers' entitlements stalled last night.

Union assistant state secretary JOHN OWEN says delegates will meet Scottish Pacific
Fund at 11 am (AEST) in an attempt to hammer out an agreement.

Mr OWEN blames the stalemate in negotiations on the "war" going on between the company's
two main creditors, Oldex and Scottish Pacific, over the money.

He says he's hopeful of progress by midday.

The federal government has agreed to give $4 million to compensate for lost entitlements
to the workers, who lost their jobs when National Textiles folded earlier this year.
