NSW; 20yo man assisting with inquiries into attack on dad, baby

A 20-year-old man is assisting police with their inquiries into a gang attack on aSydney father that's left his five-week-old daughter with a fractured skull.

New South Wales police say a man came into Maroubra Police Station about 8 o'clock(AEST) last night offering information about the attack on 26-year-old JEREMY NUNES andhis baby ELIZABETH.

Mr NUNES was carrying his daughter when he was knocked to the ground and kicked bya group of youths on Thursday night.

The assault happened just a few hundred meters from Maroubra police station in HinklerStreet, which was still busy with late-night shoppers.
