Fed: Coward musical opens in Sydney

A new play about entertainer SIR NOEL COWARD's 1940 trip to Australia opens at the
Sydney Opera House Playhouse Theatre tonight.

Darling It's Noel stars AMANDA MUGGLETON and DENNIS OLSEN and is directed by RODNEY FISHER.

MUGGLETON and OLSEN tell COWARD's tale while revisiting his well known tunes such as
Mad Dogs and Englishmen, A Room With A View and Don't Put Your Daughter On the Stage,
Mrs Worthington.

COWARD raised more than 12,000 pounds for the Red Cross while here, among a series
of fundraising appointments.

His film credits as a director include This Happy Breed, Blithe Spirit and In Which We Serve.

As an actor COWARD appeared in The Italian Job and Our Man in Havana.

Darling It's Noel plays in Sydney for three weeks before the cast embark on a national tour.
